Equinix’s Binding Corporate Rules (BCR)
Binding corporate rules (BCR) are data protection policies adhered to by companies for transfers of personal data in compliance with the applicable laws in the European Economic Area (EEA) and Switzerland, and the UK. Equinix sets out its EU and UK BCRs in its respective ‘Global Privacy Policies’ and as part of our ‘gold standard’ privacy program we have approval from the data protection regulators in the EEA and Switzerland, and the UK, respectively, for the Binding Corporate Rules. This enables Equinix to transfer personal data (such as Business Contact Information or Equinix employee data) to other members of our worldwide group of companies in compliance with applicable data protection laws.
