S&P Global – Growing number of enterprises have net-zero emissions target date

A significant and growing number of enterprises have adopted or publicized formal targets for reducing the environmental impact of their organizations – motivated by the desires of their customers, requirements of investors, the encouragement of vendors and suppliers, and a general desire to exhibit good corporate citizenship. Read this S&P Global report which highlights data from the latest “Voice of the Enterprise: Digital Pulse” survey to see how companies are addressing the need to be more sustainable.

Highlights:

  • Most organizations have implemented, or are developing, formal targets for reducing their environmental impact, a year-to-year increase.
  • Organizations believe customers expect them to be making progress on environmental goals.
  • Most organizations expect to rely on vendors for support in their sustainability efforts with tools and information.
As organizations expect to make major investments in meeting sustainability targets over the next several years, purchases and vendor selection are influenced by the sustainability efforts of those vendors and are increasingly reliant on those vendors to supply resources and information on the environmental impact of technology.
